Gladys Nuckols

Gladys Nuckols, 79. We rejoice that on Thursday, October 26, 2006 after battling cancer, the battle ended when she went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While we are sad for the physical loss, we are overjoyed that she is now completely healed rejoicing with family and friends in Heaven. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Harry & Burris Ray Roberts. She was the Owner-Operator of Nuckols Beauty Salon until she retired. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing cards with friends and cooking for them, crocheting, and traveling. She was a member & past Worthy Matron of the Goel Chapter #104 of the Order of the Eastern Star at Ensor where she served on the 3 Degree team for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Nuckols on Dec. 28, 1990, a daughter, Nancy Marie Nuckols in 1961, a sister, Louise Sanchez, and a brother, Charles W. Roberts.

Surviving are four daughters and their husbands, Suzie & Dr. Harris Williams of Memphis, Tn., Nita & Kenneth Westerfield of Owensboro, Pat & Tim Harrell of Schererville, In., and Cindy & Bruce Sheldon of Lewisport, 12 grandchildren, Stephanie Draper, Nikki McKinney, Cassie Wood, Mason Westerfield, Keni Lyn Umstead, Dan Harrell, P.F.C. Brian Harrell, Rachel Harrell, Britt Harrell, Angela Sheldon, Josh Sheldon, and Magan Sheldon, 8 great grandchildren, and two sisters, her twin Gilda Decker of Owensboro and Mona Hay of Grandview, In.

Family & friends to gather for a Celebration of Life at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 30 at 11:30 A.M. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
