Gertrude P. Cagle

Gertrude P. Cagle, age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 24, 1930 in East Hampton Massachusetts to the late William and Pauline Baldyga.

She worked as a Nursing Home Administrator at Fern Terrace Lodge. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral for many years. She was also a longtime Kentucky Colonel, a fan of all sports especially an avid UK Basketball fan.

She leaves behind 3 loving daughters: Susan (Kenny) Gentry of Dixon, KY, Carol Ann Dean of Louisville, KY and Kathy Anders of Frankfort, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 2 sisters: Carolyn Stasz of South Hampton, MA and Irene Dzwil of North Hampton, MA.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Stephen Memorial Fund and St. Anthony's Hospice in Henderson KY.
