Gerry Don White Payne

Gerry Don White Payne, 67, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at her home. Ms. Payne was born August 3, 1949 in Daviess County to the late Donald Ray White and Juanita Howe. Gerry was a compassionate person who never met a stranger and loved everyone unconditionally, treating all as family. She would even open her home to anyone in need. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and also cared deeply for animals. Gerry worked and retired from Sweedish Match after 28 years.

Ms. Payne was preceded in death by her father, Don Ray White and her sister, Jill White.

Those left to cherish her memory include her companion, Jeff Martin of Owensboro; mother, Juanita Howe; sons, Timothy Allen Payne and wife Jayleen Oliver Payne of Owensboro and Travis Ray Hill and his companion Amy of Independence, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jayslynn Serrano and wife Rosalea of Owensboro, Dustin Payne of Ohio County, Jayrolyn and Jaysen Oliver both of Owensboro; brothers, Terry White and wife Darlene of Owensboro, Jack White of North Dakota, Mike White; and sister, Sharon White Sing and husband Richard; numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be 10:00 AM on Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Buckman officiating. Burial will be in Serenity Hills Cemetery in Hawesville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
