Gerald Lee Payne

Gerald Lee Payne, 44, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, July 2, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born April 27, 1962, Mr. Payne had worked at Owensboro Grain as an Elevator Operator before he became ill. He was of the Catholic faith and loved NASCAR, spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering with cars.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jewell Alsup Payne; sons, David Payne and his wife Samantha and Patrick Payne and his wife Michelle all of Owensboro; his parents, Joseph and Wilma Reed Payne of Owensboro; grandchildren, Todd, Tyler, Taylor, Emma and Eliza Payne all of Owensboro; a sister, Sandra Quinn and her husband Bobby of Owensboro; and a brother, Richard Payne and his wife Martha of Owensboro.

Services are 10 A.M. Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. on Thursday. Prayers will be said at 6 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
