Gerald Eugene Elmer

Gerald Eugene Elmer, 69, of Owensboro, passed away at home December 4, 2014. He was born August 12, 1945 in San Diego, California to the late David and Mary Lent Elmer.

Gerald was a Veteran of the Marine Corps and a longtime volunteer of the San Diego California Fire Department before residing in Kentucky.

Gerald was an excitement junkie, loved pyrotechnics, and model trains. He was a member of the San Diego Three Railers Club.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Elmer.

Survivors include his wife Stacy McIntire Elmer; sons, Stephen Elmer and Matthew Elmer.

Services will held at a later date.
