Gerald R. Buschkoetter

Gerald R. ''Jerry'' Buschkoetter, 39, of 3530 Oaklane Dr., Philpot, Ky. passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Jasper, In. and was employed as an Electrical Supervisor at Alcoa Aluminum Co. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a yellow belt under Sensei Allen Renfrow with Traditional Karate. He was a 1984 graduate of Daviess Co. High School and a 1986 graduate of ITT. He was recognized in Who''s Who Among American High School students in 1982-83. He had received certificates of Completion of Apprenticeship as an Electrical Specialist from ITT and from the United States Department of Labor on June 28, 2001. He also had received a certificate of Completion from Alcoa for Fluid Power Basics on November 20, 2000. He received Dean''s list certificates several times throughout his schooling in the Apprenticeship Programs. He was a very loving father and husband. He enjoyed rollerblading and bicycling with his daughter, coin collecting, antiquing, and playing video games with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jamie Ruth Brantley Buschkoetter, his daughter, Brittany Raye Buschkoetter, his parents, Jerome & Monica Buschkoetter of Owensboro, two brothers, Joe & his wife Michelle Buschkoetter of Philpot, and Jim Buschkoetter of Owensboro, a sister, Mary Jane Busckoetter of Owensboro, a brother and sister-in-law, Noel & Brenda Brantley of Owensboro, four nieces & nephews, Chad & Tyler Brantley of Owensboro, and Shelby & Tristan Buschkoetter of Philpot, and his mother and father-in-law, J. R. & Ruth Brantley of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 8, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral Home.
