Gerald Wayne Blandford

Gerald ''Jerry'' Wayne Blandford, 62, of 4536 Condor Place, died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at his home. The Detroit native was retired from Texas Gas Transmission Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. A graduate of Owenbsoro Catholic High School and Brescia University, he enjoyed all sports, especially playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris June Murphy Blandford; a son, Gerald W. Blandford, Jr. of Florence; two daughters, Tamra Blandford Burcham of Owensboro and Beth Blandford Hunter of Birmingham, AL; two grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Blandford of Philpot and Thomas bLandford of Shawnee, KS; and two sisters, Diane Lane of Owensboro and Julia Graziano of Montclair, NJ.

Funeral services are 12 noon, Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 7 P.M. on Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hospice Association or the Blessed Mother Catholic Church Building Fund.
