Georgia Irene Dantic

Georgia Irene Dantic age 93, of Owensboro, passed away October 7, 2015 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to the late George and Irene Belle Cox April 19, 1922. Georgia was a lifelong member of Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church and played the organ and piano for numerous years. She retired from General Electric after many years of service. Georgia enjoyed singing, reading her Bible, and family activities.

Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Dantic, one son, Randal Dantic, and eight siblings.

She is survived by sons, James (Myrna) Dantic and Paul Thomas (Idelisa) Dantic; daughter-in-law, Jill Dantic, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; sister Doris (Rev. Charles) Bennett, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The service will immediately follow at the conclusion of visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church, 1400 Breckenridge St., Owensboro, KY, 42303. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
