Georgia Mirl Clark

Georgia Mirl Clark, 79, of 2953 McAlister Place, Owensboro, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Knottsville native was a homemaker, a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, and enjoyed walking at the mall and spending time with friends. She was preceded in death by a son, George Mitchell Clark, in 1947; and a daughter, Diana Marie Clark, in 1952.

Survivors include her husband, George H. Clark; six sons, Anthony Wayne Clark, Curtis Ray Clark and James Jerry Clark, all of Owensboro; Charles Don Clark of Lewisport, Dennis Roger Clark of Georgetown and Paul Darriel Clark of Whitesville; 23 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles John Payne and a sister, Rita Mae Stiff, both of Owensboro.

Services are at noon Friday, July 20, 2001 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro. Her family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday July 19, 2001. Prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
