George William Thompson III,74, of 927 Standish Place South, Owensboro, died Friday, October 24, 2003 at his home. A native of Daviess County, he was the owner and operator of House of Doors.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, of the Baptist faith, and an avid member of Gold Wing Road Riders and TPA.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Anna Lois Thompson, two sons, Theodore William Ted Thompson of Imboden ,Arkansas, James Devin Thompson of North Augusta, South Carolina, two daughters, Trafta OBryan of Louisville, Ky., and Tamella Tammy Wilhoyte of Owensboro, his mother, Thelma Thompson of Maceo,Ky, a stepson, Randall Glenn Case of Livermore, Ky., and stepdaughter, Carol Ann Case Thomas of Owensboro, two brothers, Edwin Thompson, and James B. Thompson, both of Maceo, a sister, Patty Ann Miller of Maceo, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
