Mr. George Michael Swank, 56, of 2517 Citation Ave, Owensboro, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born November 19, 1947 in Lamar, CO, to William Arthur and Colleen Moore Swank. He was a carpenter with River City Construction Company, and associated with Ice House. A member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, he was a Army veteran of Viet Nam, where he received two Bronze Stars. He was a member of VFW, and Kentucky Bikers Association.

Survivors include, his mother, Colleen Swank of Owensboro, one brother, Donnie and (Candyce) Swank of Owensboro, six sisters, Charlotte Moseley and Barbara Swank, both of Owensboro, Brenda and (Jim) Wilkins of Buck Creek, Shirley and (Ed) Bullington of Dickson, TN, Connie and (Wayne) Welborn of Central City, and Deborah Daugherty of Owensboro, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:30 AM, Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with military honors and burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 till 6:00 PM, Sunday, and after 9:00 AM, Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, 1225 West 3rd Street, Owensboro, KY, 42301 or the George Michael Swank Memorial Fund, c/o Colleen Swank, 2517 Citation Ave., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
