George T. Snyder

George T. Snyder, age 93 passed away June 17, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, born on April 23, 1922 in Hancock County to late Clarence and Nora (Burke) Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a very active member of the Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, were he was the Oldest Living Member. Mr. Snyder held several offices of the church, he was a Deacon, Chairman of the Deacons, Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer, but was most notable for teaching the Class of Caleb Adult Sunday School Class.

Mr. Snyder was a Lewisport High School graduate of 1940, a graduate of Owensboro Business College, and a member of the VFW. Mr. Snyder also served in the U.S. Army 250th
Signal Company, during WW II.

He leaves behind, his son: Sheryl G. (Jessica Loving) Snyder of Louisville, daughters: Gay Nell (Jesse) Case of Princeton, Bonnie Kaye (Rowland) Pagan of Lexington. Friend/companion: Mae Anna Banks of Owensboro, Brother-in-law: Carl Adkins of Lewisport, grandchildren: Jason (Kathleen) Snyder, Matthew (Angela) Snyder, Elizabeth (Greg) Snyder-Fickler, Jill Case Harper, Les (Tracie) Case, Jon Paul (Rebecca) Pagan, Clay (Bridgett) Pagan, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Former Spouse and Friend: Jimmie F. Keown, sisters: Eva Jean Adkins, Joann Snyder, brothers: Milner and Paul Snyder.

Funeral Services will be Saturday June 20, 2015 at 11:00am at Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, with Bro. Dennis McFadden and Bro. Allen Shouse officiating, visitation will be Friday June 19, 2015 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. With military honors.
