George Paul Mattingly

George Paul "Pete" Mattingly III, 60 of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2009 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. He was born on April 24, 1949 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late George Paul Mattingly, Jr. and Frances Williams Dixon. He was involved in sales in the automotive industry for a number of years.
He is survived by his devoted wife Willa of 20 years, daughter Leigh Anne Terry and husband Steve of Owensboro, son Justin Mattingly of Sulphur Springs, TX, stepson, Eric Schneider and wife Jessica of Warrenton, GA, a sister, Anne and husband Dr. Neil Padgett of Owensboro, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009, from 5:00-6:30 P.M. with a memorial service to follow at 6:30 P.M. at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel.
