George W. Lancaster, 61, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at his home. He was born July 2, 1948 to the late Smith and Maxine Lyons Lancaster in Daviess County. He retired from Alcoa after 28 years as an electrician. He was a Navy Veteran and enjoyed woodworking, playing poker, shooting pool, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Lancaster, a brother, Gary Lancaster, two sisters, Becky Longacre and Sharon Pate.
Survivors include his brother, Marty (Barbara) Lancaster of Robards; his children; Missie (Barry) Price, Amy Lancaster and (Jake Baker), and Deanna (Brian) Honeycutt, all of Owensboro, a son, Jeremy (Tanya) Lancaster of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Preston, Taylor and Emily Price, Dustin and Madi Baker, Hailey, Lilly and Riley Lancaster; along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 4:00 PM Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
