George W. Huebner

George W. Huebner, 76, of 1407 Tamarack Rd., Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Charles and Ona Huebner. He was retired from Western Ky. Gas Co. as a Manager of Master File Controls and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and was currently a Deacon Emeritus. He also had served as the church clerk for 17 years and was a member of the receiving committee. He loved camping and fishing, and was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Betty Sue Howard Huebner, a son and his wife, Mark and Sandra Huebner of Atlanta, Ga., two grandsons, Bryce Leland Huebner and Colton Alan Huebner, both of Atlanta, a sister, Jean Lacefield of Owensboro, an aunt, Rhoda Bailey of Owensboro, and numerous cousins and one niece and one great niece.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 17, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
