George Thomas Head

George Thomas Head, 73, of 3507 Baybrook Street, Owensboro, died Monday, March 31 2008 at his home. He was born in Daviess County to the late William and Maggie (Trego) Head. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired from Whirlpool after 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, fishing, jewelry making and C.B. radio as well as many other hobbies.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Head in 2006. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Patsy Head, sons Darrell and Richard Head of Owensboro, a daughter Cherri Barnett of Reed, Ky., brothers; Paul Ray Head and David Head , and sisters; Betty Everly and Barbara Patrick, all of Owensboro, 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Stone officiating and burial following at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. and after 12:00 p.m. Thursday.
