George Johnston Hahn of Simi Valley, CA, formerly of Owensboro, died January 19, 2007. Born in Jacksonville, TX, a son of the late George and Lorraine Hahn, George graduated from Owensboro High School in 1967. He attended Western Kentucky University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, and California State University, Northridge, majoring in philosophy and geology.
George loved all animals, but his favorite was his dog Blossom, his good friend and constant companion for many years. He had a passion for the sciences, especially geology. George also had a deep love for nature, whether it was hiking, watching the sun rise, or picking flowers. In all he did, his gentle spirit and unique sense of humor shined through. His laughter will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
George is survived by his brothers, James B. Hahn and his wife Ansley of Murietta, CA and Glenn Hahn and his fiancBrownie, of Owensboro; and Toni Reed, his loving companion, of Simi Valley. He is further survived by loving cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home, where friends may call from noon Saturday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Joe Ford Library at Brescia College or the Humane Society.
