George A Hagan, 74, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday September 24,2017 at the Heartford House after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born February 14,1943 in Daviess County to the late Joseph A. Hagan and Alberta Bobbitt Hagan. George retired from the Carpenters Local 90 of Evansville after working in the construction field for many years. George loved spending time with his family. He was an avid golfer and had 6 hole in ones over the years. He enjoyed watching golf, NASCAR, and UK basketball. He also enjoyed working on race cars with his best friend Mike "Pappy" Velotta.
George was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Lou Hagan Jolly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Crawford Hagan. His children, Dwayne Hagan (Lori) of Oklahoma, Lynette Hernandez of Texas, Tracie Aull (Timmy) of Owensboro, and Alaina Hudson (Breck) of Texas. His Grandchildren, Chelsea Stratton (Michael), Tyler Cornelius (Amanda), Lauren Glover (Jared), Ryan Aull, Travis Cornelius, Abby Hagan, Wyatt Hudson, Bailey Hernandez, Brynn Hudson, Elias Hernandez, and Elisa Hernandez. His great grandchildren, Ava, Haylee, Lucas, Jareson, Will, Owen, and a new arrival on the way. Sisters, Judy Norris (Louis) and Barbara King (Byron). Several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2pm Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Allen Shouse officiating. Visitation will be 10am to 2pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Cemetery in Elba, KY.
