George J. Bozman, 92, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 26, 1922 in Oswego, KA to the late George S. and Lizzie Myers Bozman. He was retired as an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration after 35 years. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends at McDonalds and playing golf. George was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bruner Bozman on September 27, 2000, two brothers, Dale A. Bozman and Sumner Bozman, and three sisters, Verlee Sellers, and Florence and Charlene Bozman.
Surviving are his daughter, Laurel Bozman of Philpot, his sisters-in-law, Jean Skaggs and husband Richard of Utica and Martha Pagan and husband Danny of Murfreesboro, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 17 in the Chapel of Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Lori Schroeder officiating. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
