George Franklin "Frankie" Boling, 63, of 5335 Webster Lane, Owensboro, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He retired from Hon after 32 years, and worked as a driver for Big Rivers Rubber and Gasket. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding on the river, barbeques and U.K. Basketball. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and his dogs.
His father, George Boling preceded him in death in 1956, his mother, Jessie Christian Boling in 1987, and a brother, Tony Dickens in 1994.
Surviving him are his wife; Donna Anderson Boling, children; Franklin Scott (Becky) Boling of Whitesville, Brent (Kristy) Boling of Owensboro, Jennifer (Festus) Pierson of Ft. Campbell, and Chris (Lacy) Brumley and Matthew (Jennifer) Brumley of Owensboro, grandchildren; Brittany Carter, Aaron Hatfield, Sharon Walker Boling, Lyndsey, Jacob, Dustin, Dalton and Joseph Boling, Logan, Kierston, Bayli, and Chase Boling, Hunter, Dwayne and Hayden Brumley, great-grandchildren; Piper Carter and Anthony Walker, a sister; Ann (Ron) White of Franklin, TN., and nephew; Jeff Allen (Ann) White of Nashville, TN.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Alva Sutton officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Monday. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association Inc.
