George William Bender

George William Bender, Jr., 49, of 2140 Stinnett Rd, Maceo died Saturday, September 2, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of St Pius Tenth Catholic Church and was an electrical engineer at Kimberly-Clark. He was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, loved outdoor activities, traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, George Bender, Sr. in 1976.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Angie Johnson Bender; a son, Cody Bender of Maceo; two daughters, Katie Bender and Andrea Rickard both of Maceo; two grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Joe and Rita Bender Wedding of Owensboro;
four sisters, Cathy Foster and Theresa Ashworth of Philpot, Becky Whittaker of West Louisville, and Loretta Higdon of Owensboro.

Services are 12 noon Wednesday at St Pius Tenth Catholic Church with entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at Glenn Funerl Home from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday and after 10 A.M. Wednesday. Parrish prayers will be said at 7:40 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Right to Life of Owensboro or the Birthright Center.
