George L. Basham

Mr. George L. Basham age 64 passed away on August 16, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was born on February 25, 1951 in Daviess County to the late J.T. Basham Sr. and Claribel (Onstott) Basham.

George was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Owensboro, he also loved spending time with his grandchildren and family, he enjoyed WWE, Friday after 5, attending his grandchildrens ballgames, NASCAR, the guys at Cadillac Restaurant, he loved to go to Madewells.

George is preceded in death by his parents, sister: Lucyetta Huff, brother: Leslie Basham.

George is survived by his wife of 42 years: Sarah (Bevil) Basham, daughter: Samantha Basham of Hopkinsville, son: Joey (Terri) Basham of Owensboro, grandchildren: Brian Douglas of Owensboro, Chelsea Douglas of Hopkinsville, Carter Basham, Nolan Basham, and Averi Basham all of Owensboro, sisters: Nancy (Earl) Martin of Owensboro, Hazel (Benny) Givens of Pleasant Ridge, brothers: Forrest (Joyce) Basham of Owensboro, J.T. (Kay) Basham Jr. of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be Friday August 21, 2015 at 12:00pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Brian Roberts officiating, visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday August 19th and 20th from 4pm - 8pm at the funeral home, and after 10am Friday. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations can be made to The American Heart Association.
