George William Barnett

George William Barnett, 53, of 1711 Monohon St., Owensboro, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a salesman for Southern Petroleum Equipment Company in Owensboro. He was a member of the Owensboro First United Baptist Church and enjoyed his church and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Kitchens Barnett; two son, Mike and Darrell Barnett both of Owensboro; two daughters, Kathy O'Bryan and Beth Cox both of Owensboro; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Bobby Barnett of Philpot and James and David Barnett of Owensboro; and five sisters, Mary Lou Clark of Owensboro, Wanda Faye Ford and Pamela Hazelwood of Pleasant Ridge, Nelda Nalley of Maceo, and Stella Louise Taylor of Hopkinsville.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Friday, June 21, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Thursday and after 9 A.M. on Friday.
