Geneva A. Roberts, 90, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at her home while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born February 27, 1935 in Lewisport to the late Ernest and Alice Crutchfield Alexander. Geneva was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and was retired from General Electric after 39 years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and hosting family gatherings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Clifton Roberts in 2001, a daughter, Mary Pennewell, a grandson, Craig Roberts, two sisters, Loretta Pate and Ann Laslie, two brothers, Doug Alexander and Eli Alexander, and a stepsister, Naomi Englert.
Surviving are three sons, Larry Roberts and wife Debbie of Newburgh, Indiana, Ronnie Roberts of Owensboro, and David Roberts of Paris, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Riherd, Melanie Petzold, Melissa Ashley, Jason Roberts, Aaron Roberts, Derrick Roberts, Savanah Madrid, Alexander Roberts, Delilah Stinnett, and Jamie Sparks who “lovingly served as her primary caregiver and visited her faithfully and cared for her in her final years”., 21 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Glover and husband Mike of Owensboro; a brother, Roger Alexander and wife Sharon of Lewisport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Noon Tuesday, February 10, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory officiated by James "J.J." Jasper. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
