Geneva Nelson

Geneva Nelson, 84, of Owensboro, passed away March 12, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born February 1, 1931 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late Pink and Eva Doss Bevil. She was the owner and operator of the former Danny's Exotic Pets and had attended Church Alive. Geneva loved birds and fish ponds, flower and vegetable gardening, and canning. She was everybody's Mamaw and was a person who never met a stranger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Q. Nelson on May 29, 2010, a son, Donald Nelson in 1993, and a great grandson, Joey Nelson in 1995.

Surviving are two sons, Larry and Mike Nelson, both of Owensboro, two daughters, Donna Clark and Brenda Watson, both of Owensboro, several grandchildren including Stephanie Tatum and husband Fred of Owensboro, several great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter that will be arriving soon. Also surviving are two sisters, Ann Wilson of Central City and Alice Webster of Evansville, IN.

Services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, March 17, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
