Geneva Mae Ambrose, 74, of 2324 Georgia Lane, Owensboro, died Wednesday, September 01, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born September 7, 1928 to the late Porter and Iva Greene in Daviess County. She was member of Bellevue Baptist Church, retired from Daviess County Vocational School and was a dealer of antique dolls and glassware at Consumer Mall. She was raised at Kentucky Baptist Childrens Home, graduated from Cumberland College and was a loving mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Smith Wallace Ambrose who died 11-7-1993, two brothers, Delbert and Gerald Greene.

Survivors include two sons, Doug and his wife Sharon Ambrose and Steve Ambrose, all of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Stephanie Draper, Andrea, Matt and Ben Ambrose, Angel Nichols and Natalie Ambrose; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois and her husband Norris Whitaker of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky Baptist Childrens Home, 10200 Linn Station Road, #200, Louisville, KY, 40223.
