Gene W. Ferrell

Gene W. Ferrell, 88, passed away on August 11, 2014. He was born in Monticello, Ky on September 3, 1925 to the late Woodrow Ferrell and Cecil Vanconia. Gene was a Navy Veteran, serving in both WWII and The Korean War and retired from G.E. He enjoyed things such as fishing, hunting, and watching football.

Gene is preceded in death by a brother, Burvel Ferrell.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Dolores Ferrell; Sons; Gene Ferrell (Sharron) and John Ferrell (Cindy); Daughter Becky Evans (Jett); Stepson, Rickey Hudson (Kathy), and 22 Grand, Great Grand, and Great-great Grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00AM Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00PM Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calhoun United Methodist Church in memory of Gene Ferrell.
