Gaynell Amelia Vanover

Miss Gaynell Vanover, 73, of Owensboro, died Friday, February 2, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare Center. She was born August 5, 1933 to the late Simon Andrew and Flaura Wren Vanover in McLean County. She was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church and also attended First Assembly of God. She loved people and enjoyed playing the organ and piano.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Dilous Vanover, five sisters, Nina Miller, Zella Robinson, Stella McDonald, Virginia Lindsey and Wilma Farrell.

Surviving her is one brother, Rev. Morton Vanover of Sacramento; a sister, Audra Conrad of Rumsey; several nieces and nephews, and two special friends, Donna Nave and Wanda Sons, both of Owensboro. Her special pet was Teddy.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, at Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wendell Foster Campus, 815 Triplett St., Owensboro, KY 42303.
