Gayleon Lee "Gale" Aldridge, 61, of Owensboro, passed away May 31, 2017 while in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Gale was born August 14, 1955 in Whitesville, KY to the late J.R. and Shirley Evans Aldridge. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye Aldridge on October 24, 2015. Gale was employed by Lee Brick and Block as a salesman. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. Gale enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother, Keith, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, as well as playing his guitar in services held at church and at Twin Rivers Nursing Home.
Gale is survived by his daughter, Amanda Leigh Aldridge of Owensboro; brothers, Keith (Aline) Aldridge of Browder, KY and Gregory Allen Aldridge of Owensboro; a special niece, Christina (Michael) Swihart and their children of Hawesville; step-son, Paul Miller of Central City; grandchildren, Amanda (Rick) Johnson, Mirick Johnson of Owensboro, Ricky (Katie) Miller of Indiana, Brandon Miller, Kolton Miller both of Owensboro; and aunt and uncle, as well as Faye's extended family and a host of cousins.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Cates Cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
