Gay Coffey Spicer

Gay Coffey Spicer, 69, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2016. She was born on December 13, 1946 to the late Sherman H. and Virginia (Dillman) Coffey.
Ms. Spicer was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family and traveling with her husband during their retirement years. She was a strong and courageous woman whose positive attitude inspired many. Gay was also a faithful member of Christ Community Church who believed and always said "God is good".
Ms. Spicer was preceded in death by her husband, Benny R. "Ben" Spicer in 2014.
She is survived by her three sons, Kevin Spicer and his wife, Ann of Atlanta, GA, Keith Spicer of Owensboro, Ben Spicer II and his wife, Lisa; grandson, Braden Spicer of Owensboro; step granddaughter, Caitlin Higgins of Easton, MD; step grandson, Myles Lankford, sister, Donna Maurer of Owensboro; brother, Darryl Coffey and his wife Corene of Leitchfield.
The service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday January 7, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation from 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM, with Rev. Myke Templeton officiating.
