Gary N. Stearsman

Gary N. Stearsman, 72, of Bells Run, passed away February 7, 2018 at home. He was born September 10, 1945 in Butler Co. to the late Lofton James and Elsie Peay Stearsman. Gary was a hard worker. He served in the United States Army in Hanau, Germany during the Vietnam era. Gary was a welder for most of his career and worked for companies such as Peabody Coal Company, as well as his own company, G & K Welding. he loved working on the farm. His hobbies revolved around the work that he loved to do. Gary was a giving and loving man who loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He remained strong in his faith leading the music at New Panther Creek Baptist Church for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters.

Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue Daugherty Stearsman; three sons, Tony and his wife, Kris, Terry and his wife Cheryl, and Steve and his wife, Kimmy; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Nell Baker.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Bells Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
