Gary Allen Payne

Gary Allen Payne, 56, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in Owensboro. He was born on June 8, 1956 in Daviess Co., KY to the late William L. and Mary Catherine Payne. Gary retired in 2001 from the Daviess Co. Road Department after 22 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed raising a garden and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his wife of 31 years, Judy Payne, his daughters, Jennifer and husband Nick Smith and Tracy and husband Aaron Ling, of Owensboro, grandchildren, Leah and Grayson Smith and Lillie and Lanie Ling, and three brothers, Donnie (Nancy) Payne, Danny (Janie) Payne, and James (Sharon) Payne, all of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
