Garland Bingemer

Garland C. Bingemer, 86, of Henderson passed from this life Tuesday, December 5th under the care of Lucy Smith King Hospice Center. Garland was a long time member of Chapel Hill Church. He worked in the diesel repair industry at Cummins Diesel for 34 years, Butch and Billy's Diesel Service, and once retired from Enterprise Rental Car. Garland was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan and passed that love on to his children. He also enjoyed tending to his flowers and growing his own tomatoes.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Jo Risley Bingemer, infant son Steven, brothers Charles and Kenneth Bingemer, and sisters Delois Mullen and Linda Bingemer.

He is survived by his children Ellen (Mike) Dukes of Henderson, Sarabeth (Alan) Moore of Jackson, MO, and Joe Bingemer of Henderson; grandchildren, Michael (Mac) Dukes and James (JP) Wilson, two step-grandchildren and five step-great- grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Hillyard and Alice Eblen, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1PM Saturday December 9, 2017 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY. Services will be officiated by Associate Pastor, Amy Call. Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. until service time at the church. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Anthony's Hospice and Chapel Hill Building Fund.
