Fred M. Heim, 87, of 3002 Chippewa Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was retired from the Philco Co. after 10 years and General Electric Co after 20 years as an engineer. He was a member of the Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church, the Shiloh Masonic Lodge # 558 F. & A.M. in Lansdale, Pa., the Evansville Chapter # 107 and the Owensboro Chapter #202 of the Mended Hearts Association, and was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He obtained his pilots license after attending the Rising Sun Aircraft School in Pa. and attended Temple University Community College & Technical Institute.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Marie Heim, two daughters, Janice Parker Pulliam and her husband Louis of Owensboro, and Karen Heim Baugh of Evansville, In., and three grandchildren, Jay Parker and his wife Kelly of Louisville, Jill Parker of Lexington, and Robb Baugh of Evansville.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1215 Scherm Rd., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
