Frankie Dean Hickey

Frankie Dean Hickey, 84, of Pleasant Ridge passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his home. Born in Ohio County on May 13, 1927, he was the son of the late Archie Hickey and Oma Ellen King Hickey Allen; was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church; was retired from the Oil Industry; and was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Hickey enjoyed University of Louisville sports and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wayne Hickey.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Maxine Richeson Hickey; children, Charlotte Hickey of Pleasant Ridge, Steve (Margaret) Hickey of Trinidad, CO, David (Tammy) Hickey of Pleasant Ridge, Jeff (Yuvonne) Hickey of Bells Run; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services are 12 noon Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Revs Hank Ricketson and Franklin Skaggs officiating followed by burial in Bells Run Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
