Frank X. Wathen, Jr., 51, of 515 Jeff Place, Owensboro, died Friday, October 11, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was employed at Field Packing Company in Owensboro for 24 years. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and enjoyed NASCAR and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Charlene Wathen; his father, Frank X. Wathen, Sr. of Owensboro; four sisters, Carol Ruxer, Joyce Wathen, Connie Fairchild and Pat Edgell, all of Owensboro; several nephews and nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Daviess County. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Precious Blood Catholic Church Renovation Fund, 3306 Fenmore Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
