Frank Stepp, Jr., 83, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County on August 10, 1922 to the late Frank Stepp, Sr and Leslie Nan Stretch Stepp, he was a member of the Garden Green Baptist Church; owned and operated the F.H. Stepp Manufacturing Company for many years (a contractor for Murphy Furniture and later Whitehall Furniture); loved woodworking and built most of the furniture in his own home as well as a boat; and enjoyed NASCAR and boating. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond H. Stepp and a sister, Geneva Buckner.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Doris Hellen Long Stepp; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Rev. Milton Hadden of Owensboro and Carol and Russ Wallace of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Clint Hadden, Frank Ryan Hadden, Jason Hadden, Rusty Wallace, and Byron Wallace; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were private with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Glenn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
