Frank Nicholson, 49, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Falls of Rough. Born in Morgantown, WV on February 23, 1961, he is the son of Gilbert and Mary Jane Nicholson of Owensboro; worked at Swedish Match; and was an Army veteran. A 1980 graduate of Daviess County High School, Frank was an avid fisherman; was a fan of the New York Jets, Cincinnati Reds, and NASCAR; and enjoyed riding his Harley and listening to music. He was preceded in death by wives, Robin Thompson Nicholson and Phyllis Nicholson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Christopher Lawson; sisters, Tracey (Boomer) Kimbley and Kim (Kooks) Nicholson of Owensboro; a brother, Duane (Michelle) Nicholson of Owensboro; uncles, Brad (Tammy) Turner and Bobby (Kara) Turner of Ashtabula, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Jeff Hendricks officiating. Private burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
