Frank M. Buddy Gibson, 74 of 1716 Monohon St., Owensboro, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Dixon, Ky. and was retired after 22 years in the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral, and had also been the business manager for Prestige Mobile Homes for 12 years in Tucson Az. Member of the Poole KY Masonic Lodge #604, life member and past commander of the VFW in Tucson, Woodmen of the World, American Legion in CA., Boy Scout leader for 10 yrs. And a KY Colonel He enjoyed camping, traveling and dancing. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Monroe Gibson in 1958, his parents, Quinton R Gibson in 1972 and Lottie Y Gibson in 2002 and by 2 Wives.
He is survived by his wife of 2 years, Cleo Miller Gibson, a son, Robert M. Gibson of Murray, Ky., a daughter, Natalie Chavez of Portland, Or., a sister, Vanda Jean Gibson of Murray, 3 Grandsons, 3 Stepsons, a stepdaughter, 12 Step Grandchildren, 16 Step Great Granchildren, and 2 Aunts, Lois Asher of Dixon, Ky. and Hazel Loebe of Henderson, Ky.
Services will be 12:00 P.M. NOON Saturday, July 5, at St. Stephen Cathedral with burial following in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, July 4 and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday, July 5 at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Daviess Co. Diabetes Coalition, P. O. Box 309, Owensboro, Ky. 42302-0309. Full military honors will be held at the cemetery.
