Francis Guerdon "F.G." Riney

Francis Guerdon "F.G." Riney, Jr., 98, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Carmel Home. He was born December 11, 1917 in West Louisville and was a lifelong farmer in that area. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Mr. Riney was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Winnie Cecil Riney; his parents, Francis Guerdon Riney and Mabel Kelly Riney; a brother, Hugh Riney, and sisters, Dorothy Getchell, Mary Phoebe Ebelhar, Maxine Cecil, and Edith Riney.

He is survived by daughters, Ann (Charles) Roby, Linda (Dave) O'Nan, Martha (Jim) Kamuf, Becky (Jerry, deceased) Reisz, Sister Judith Nell Riney, Cathy McClish, Winnie (Gene, deceased) Cohron, Carol Riney, Kay Beth Riney, Pam (Joe) Higdon, and Laurie (Greg) Payne, sons, Frank (Moggie) Riney, Doug (Leslie) Riney, and Keith (Cathy, deceased) Riney. Other survivors include brothers, Kelly Riney (died May 8, 2016), Jim Riney, Don Riney, and one sister, Beverly Cambron, 32 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 10 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, St. Joseph, KY. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday with prayers offered at 7:00 P.M. and then from 8:00-10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
