Frances "Fran" Parks White

Frances “Fran” Parks White, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, February 1,  2024, while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. Fran was born in New Madrid County, Missouri, on March 27, 1934, to the late Leo and Violet Parks.

Fran retired from the Daviess County Board of Education. She was a dedicated member of Panther Creek Baptist Church and loved her church family. Fran’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love as the devoted wife of Bob White for 60 years. A steadfast pillar of strength and love, Fran was a nurturing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She  loved working in her yard, especially with her roses.

In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Bob White in 2011.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Coradell Mitchell of Chaffee, Missouri, her brother, Marion Parks of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; children, Alan White (Donna), Donna Record (Mark), Sharon Graybill (Steve) and Laurie White (Donna Pedley); her grandchildren, Chris White, Holly Clark (Jeff), Mandy Isom, Rheonna Johnson (Matt), Sara Bennett (Alan), Steven Graybill (Piper), Chris Record (Suzanne); 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Fran will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from noon on Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Panther Creek Baptist Church Christian Life Center or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.
