Frances Chapin Robinson

Frances Chapin Robinson, 93, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2014. Born in Breckenridge County, KY, a daughter of the late James Edward and Mary Waggoner Chapin, she graduated from Frederick Frazier High School in 1938 and completed a course in business in 1939. She began her career at Jeff Boat Corporation in Jeffersonville, IN and was an administrative assistant at Texas Gas Transmission Corporation in Owensboro. Mrs. Robinson was an active member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and its Mary Lou Phillips Sunday School Class as well as the Kentucky Federation of Woman's Club. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Nancy Chapin Lewis and her brother, William Chapin.
She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Robinson; her son James Dale Robinson of Louisville; her daughters Nancy Craig Johnson and her husband Tony of Louisville and Carol Robinson Greer and her husband Bill of Bowling Green; her grandchildren Eric (Brooke) Johnson of Des Moines, IA, Lindsay (Tom Pheiffer) Johnson of Langhorne, PA, Scott Johnson of Baton Rouge, Drew Johnson of Fort Worth, Tucker Greer, John Greer and Ginna Greer, all of Bowling Green; and her great-granddaughter Jordyn Marie Johnson of Des Moines.
The funeral service for Mrs. Robinson will be at noon Saturday at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 11:00 until noon Saturday at the church. Entombment will be in Christ Chapel Mausoleum of Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
