Frances Emogene Igleheart Nation

Frances Emogene Igleheart Nation, 99, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Heartland Villa in Lewisport. She was born July 4, 1916 in Daviess Co., KY to the late C. Edgar and Amanda Frances Igleheart. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, and was of the Baptist faith. After she and her husband retired, they enjoyed spending summers in Hendersonville, N. C. and winters in St. Petersburg, Florida. They also loved to compete in shuffleboard tournaments traveling around in the South. Emogene was also preceded in death by her husband, John David Nation on September 15, 1999, a son, Wylie Gayle Nation on December 12, 1994, a grandson, David Jeffrey Nation on August 12, 2010, and her brothers and sisters, Chester A. Igleheart, Ernest H. Igleheart, Richard E. Igleheart, Virginia Stewart, and Malvenia Igleheart.

She is survived by two sons, David Larry Nation and wife Kim of Owensboro and John Darrell Nation of Prospect, eight grandchildren, Michael Gayle (Teresa) Nation, Matthew Wayne (Donna) Nation, Samuel Craig (Jodie) Nation, and Shannon Lesley (Troy) Glassco, all of Henderson, Paul Sinclair (Ami) Nation of Owensboro, Grant Kimble Nation of Owensboro, John Maxwell Potter Nation of Prospect, and Lucinda Mariah Grace Nation of Louisville, 12 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, October 29, at Christ Chapel in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
