Frances L. Humphrey

Frances L. Humphrey, 85, formerly of Central City went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at U of L Hospital after sustaining injuries from an auto accident. Mrs. Humphrey was born November 26, 1930 in Gardiner, Maine to the late Erwin and Laura Bishop Tarr. She retired in 1998 from Maine State Hospital and moved to Owensboro to be with family. She married Kenneth Ray Humphrey July 3, 2000 and moved to Central City. Frances was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Ray Humphrey; son, Darrell R. Moody and wife Karen of Maine; daughters, Shirley Whitehouse of Arizona, Dona Smith of Owensboro, Sandra Moody also of Maine; step-sons, Jeff Humphrey and wife Patty and Marty Humphrey and wife Theresa; step-daughter, Teresa Jones and husband Larry; brother, Robert Tarr and wife Doris; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; life-long friends, Diana Quinn and Diane Kellen.

Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
