Frances Baker Hermann, 76, of Owensboro, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mrs. Hermann, a daughter of the late Truman and Willie Jaynes Baker was born in Logan County, Kentucky and graduated from Lewisburg High School where she had been a cheerleader and voted Best All Around. A charter member of Bellevue Baptist Church, she was devoted to her children and her grandchildren. After retiring, Mrs. Herman continued her love of cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Martin Edward Hermann; her children, Mark Hermann and his wife Mary, Chris Hermann and his fiance Mandy, Michelle English and her fiance Larry Hager, and Angela Hermann, all of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Curtis Hermann, Alex Copper, Krystal Booker and her husband Nathan, Lindsey Hager, Nathan English, Joshua Logan, Ashley Hermann, and Cole Mitchell; four great grandchildren; her brother, Louis Baker and his wife Phyllis of Russellville; and her sisters, Doris McPherson and her husband Narvell of Lewisburg, and Janie Ellickson of Houston.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be at 12 noon Friday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
