Frances Louise Bell

Frances Louise Bell, 75, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 21, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born October 4, 1939 in Daviess Co., to the late Ben Linton and Lucille Bristow Bell. Frances graduated from Owensboro Technical School in 1958. She began working at Cornell's Restaurant while in high school and eventually retired from Taylor's IGA as the deli manager. She loved and cherished her friends and activities at Bellevue Baptist Church where she was a member. Frances enjoyed traveling the country rock hunting and making jewelry from her "finds" with the rock club and golfing, having won the Women's City Golf Tournament several times . She was also a longtime member of the River City Red Hatters.

She is survived by her two brothers, William "Sam" (Faye) Bell and Benny (Linda) Bell of Owensboro, nieces and nephews, Kirk (Pennie) Bell, Amy (John) Mattingly, Samuel "Bucky" (Emily) Bell, Stefanie (Greg) Faulls, Mary Beth (Jeff) Carlisle, and Andrew Bell, and 11 great nieces and nephews. She also included in her family her beloved cats and dogs.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 25, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
