Forrest C. Sublett, 84, of Owensboro, passed away on January 14, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess County to the late Forrest H. and May C. (Coons) Sublett.
Forrest retired from Green River Steel after 25 years of service as an electrician.
He was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church.
Forrest enjoyed spending time with family, woodworking, fishing, camping and gardening.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Sublett; daughters, Anna Church (Ken) and Freida Pagan of Owensboro, Kathie Semro (Jerry) of Philpot; son, Ben Berry (Gina) of Owensboro; children, Nelda Brown, Mike and Danny Sublett; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and two sisters, Jane Kaufmann and Doris May Sublett both of Philpot.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Dr. Paul Strahan will officiate. Entombment will be at Rosehill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 15 and on Monday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church (Maverick Sunday School Class).
