Floyd Martin Hearld

October 11, 1932 — March 25, 2014

Floyd Martin Hearld, 81, of Philpot, passed away on Tuesday, March 25 at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late James Hearld and Grace Hearld Kollenberg.

Floyd was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and had worked as a painter for Wilkerson Painting and Plastering.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughters, Lisa K. Gibson and Vicki Ann Payne.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Geraldine Payne Hearld; a daughter, Debbie Hearld of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Floyd M. Hearld of Grand Prairie, Texas; 2 grandchildren; step-children, Sandra Boyken, Michael Payne, David Payne, Brad Payne and Shawn Payne; 13 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; half-brother, Roger Payne of Louisville; and a half sister, Alice Miller of Dawson Springs, KY.

The memorial mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 28 at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Fr. Carl McCarthy will officiate. Burial will be at Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:30 until service time at the church.
