Flora Louise Groezinger Conley

Mrs. Flora Louise Groezinger Conley, of Owensboro, passed away January 29, 2013. She was born in Owensboro on January 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Walter and Maude Sumner Groezinger. Flo was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a former member of The Cotillion Club and the Junior League. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Conley, past president and part owner of Dahl and Groezinger, who died May 23, 1990.

Survivors include her son, William R. Conley, Jr. (Marilyn); her sister, Emma Jane Kirkland; two grandchildren, William R. Conley, III and Grace O'Meara (Clifford); a niece and nephew, Sally Helwig (Bill) and John Drew Kirkland (Gail); and a large beloved extended family.

The funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Carroll will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be considered to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Memorial Fund of First Presbyterian Church.
