Faye C. Horton

Faye (Carroll) Horton, 69, of Utica, died on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Kindred Transistional Care and Rehabilitation-Hillcrest. She was born in Central City, Kentucky to the late Sydney Carroll and Mary Evelyn Terry.

Faye was employed at Cowden Manufacturing until the plant closed in 1984. She was a member of Living Faith Baptist Church where she was a regular volunteer with Vacation Bible School and the library. She enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, crocheting and spending time with family.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rondal J. "Bub" Horton, in 2010.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky Renfrow (Ray) of Pleasant Ridge; son, Alan Horton (Elaine) of Temple, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Horton (Jessica), Andy Horton (Sara), Adam Horton (Rachel), Alex Horton, Jeremy Davenport, Brian Davenport (Breana), Jennifer Geary (Justin) and Brittany Renfrow (Tyler Tichenor); daughter-in-law, Teresa Horton; great grandchildren, Hadley Geary, Clay Horton, Olivia Horton, Addilyn Horton, Emily Horton and Carter Horton (due in October); two sisters, Martha Atai (Joe) and Sue Garrard; and several sisters-in-law.

The funeral service will be at 10 AM on Thursday, September 19 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Kenny Rager will officiate and burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM and after 9AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
